HOW to book

IMAGE - Receptionist answering phone

Please book your appointment with one of our osteopaths or sports therapists by phone. We do not accept appointment bookings by text or e-mail.

Please call 01462 811006. Your call will be answered by one of the reception team who are there to help you.  You will be offered the first available appointment with a practitioner within the Clinic. This is usually within 48 hours.

If you would prefer to see a male/female practitioner, please let us know.  Similarly, if you know who you want to see or what day you would like to come, please ask. Times with specific practitioners will vary according to their availability.

New clients

If you are new to Shefford Osteopathic Clinic, we will ask for your contact details, especially email and mobile phone number.  The email is so that we can send you information immediately, confirming your appointment and what to expect from your session.  The mobile phone number is because we aim to send a text confirming your appointment 1 – 2 days beforehand, (but we cannot guarantee this).

Payment

You will need to pay for your consultation at the end of your appointment – so please make sure you bring a means of paying with you. We accept cash, most major debit and credit cards, private health arrangements (please check with your provider) and even cheques; we do not offer credit facilities. You can find details of our current fees on our WHAT it Costs page.

Follow-up appointments

Follow-up appointments will be booked by your therapist before you leave the consultation.  We aim to send a reminder text 1-2 days prior to this appointment, (but we cannot guarantee this).

Cancellations

We understand that sometimes you may need to cancel an appointment, in which case we ask you to give at least 24 hours’ notice by telephone.  Cancellations by text or e-mail are not accepted. Failure to attend an appointment will incur a charge of £30. Rescheduling an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice will be treated as a cancelled appointment and will incur a charge of £30.

Emergency appointments

We can usually offer an emergency appointment the same day. Sometimes specific practitioners can have a waiting time of over a week. If you would like to be put on the cancellation waiting list, you will most likely be offered an appointment sooner that the one that you have booked. Please let us know if this would be helpful to you.
