We know that you may be nervous about your first visit to an osteopath or sports therapist so we have prepared the following guide to help put you at your ease. Click on a topic to see more.

Before your appointment
You are welcome to bring a friend or relation into the treatment room if you wish and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a chaperone. Our Clinic is on the first floor, so if you have a problem with stairs, please advise our receptionist when making an appointment.

During your appointment
Before any examination and treatment is carried out you will be asked some questions about yourself – we need to know about your health, past and present, and you will be asked more detailed questions about your symptoms and their history,

After your appointment
We do not have set treatment plans saying how many treatments you will need. We treat each person as an individual. Your practitioner will agree the number of treatments you need and the intervals involved with you at the first session. This will be determined by: 1) what you would like to achieve with treatment, 2) what we find on examination and then 3) how quickly your body responds to treatment. Your treatment type and frequency will be re-assessed regularly.
